Civil Engineer – Site Development

What You’ll Do

As a Civil Engineer on our team, you’ll lead and execute critical phases of site design and development, delivering impactful work that supports communities and infrastructure. You will:

• Lead Preliminary Design : Apply local and federal mapping data, assess drainage and buildable areas, and drive projects through the initial design phase with accuracy and compliance.
• Navigate Regulations : Leverage your deep understanding of zoning regulations, buffer zones, and ordinances to design comprehensive and compliant lot layouts.
• Analyze Sites in Detail : Conduct thorough site assessments using topographic data, as-built surveys, and construction staking. Identify site constraints and develop innovative solutions.
• Design with Precision : Develop horizontal layouts for roadways and parking areas using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Create rough grading plans and utility designs that meet functional and regulatory standards.
• Master Stormwater Management : Execute storm drainage designs using tools like Hydraflow. Prepare storm drainage plans, culvert sizing, and gutter spread analyses to ensure safe, sustainable water flow.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with a proactive mindset. Ideal candidates will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering).
• An EI certification (required); PE license or on the path to obtaining one (strongly preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in civil site design or a related field.
• Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a strong foundation in drainage and utility design.
